Como parte del equipo de idiomas extranjeros y después de seis años de trabajar como profesora de español aquí en OHS y cinco años patrocinando el Club de Español de OHS, he podido ver la importancia de pertenecer a una Organización Nacional donde los estudiantes sobresalientes son reconocidos a nivel local, estatal y nacional
Este Chapter busca reconocer a los estudiantes que sobresalen en su aprendizaje de la lengua y cultura latino – española. Mi esperanza al formar este capítulo es no solo darles a mis estudiantes la oportunidad de ser reconocidos a nivel nacional por sus logros, sino también brindar prestigio a OHS como una de las pocas escuelas en Luisiana que tiene un capítulo de esta organización.

As part of the foreign language team and after six years of working as the Spanish teacher here at OHS and five years sponsoring the OHS Spanish Club, I’ve been able to see the importance of belonging to a national group where excelling students are rewarded and are able to belong to a club.
This organization seeks out recognizing students who excel in their learning of the Spanish language and culture. My hope through forming this chapter is to not only give my students an opportunity to be nationally recognized for their achievements, but also to bring prestige to OHS as one of the few schools in Louisiana to have a chapter from this organization.
