“A Mi Manera”

Written by: Jake Domingue

Spanish National Honor Society inducted its first batch of Members on Friday May 7th. In total 19 students took the oath and became members of SNHS. The theme of the program “A Mi Manera,” (My Way) included music preformances by Mr. Ricky Julien, the presentation of a painting of Eduardo Escalante Gomez by Victoria Marks, and the reciting of the poem “The poetry is music,” by Raffeq Muhammad. The program was meant to honor Eduardo Escalante Gomez, our clubs name sake. Here is a brief biography on Mr. Escalante Gomez written by Maesta Cerna Cruz:

“In addition to his brilliant career we can highlight his studies having taken a place at the  Pedagogical Institute of the University of Chile, Valparaíso. From there he continued his studies to obtain a degree in Linguistics Literature and a Master’s in Social Sciences at the University of Wales, Great Britain.”

Congratulations to all of the newly inducted members!
